Your private trip will include work at a local school and orphanage called the Mwereni Integrated School for the Blind. K2 Adventures Foundation discovered the Mwereni Integrated School for the Blind over nine years ago. The school currently serves 640 children, age range of 4 -15 years old, from the community of Moshi. Seventy-five of these students are orphans who reside at the school. The orphans are either blind, albino or suffer from a genetic disease called Xeroderma Pigmentosum.
The school includes a medical facility that serves the dental and medical needs of the children. Spend the day playing with the children, teaching in the classroom, handing out donations, engaging in arts and crafts or enjoying a game of soccer or basketball with the students. Or include the new classroom, bathrooms, basketball court, kitchen, chicken coop, fish hatchery and gardens.
Students will also have the opportunity to visit a local hospital and the newest K2 project Summit Happy Home.
