Notre Dame College Prep private trip to Cusco, Peru along with heartwarming community service that wraps up with the historic ruins of Machu Picchu.

Trip Highlights
Travel to Peru with K2 Adventures Foundation to participate in 4 days of Christian service, visit the Sacsayhuaman Ruins and Cristo Blanco, attend mass celebrated in Spanish, and tour the famous Machu Picchu ruins. As a participant on this trip, the student will receive 100% of required Christian service hours for their upcoming school year.
Itinerary
Day 1 (Friday, May 22)
Depart Phoenix Sky Harbor airport on AA Flight 1632 at 3:05 pm with an arrival into Lima, Peru the next day.
Day 2 (Saturday, May 23)
The students will arrive in Lima on AA Flight 909 at 5:31 am. After clearing customs, they will board another flight to Cusco, a small city in the Peruvian Andes once known as the capital of the Inca Empire. After checking into their hotel, the students will tour Sacsayhuaman, Qenqo, Puka Pukara, Tambomachay, and Christo Blanco before attending evening mass at Iglesia de la Merced. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are included.
Day 3 (Sunday, May 24)
The students will attend morning mass at the Cathedral Basilica of our Lady of the Assumption and experience the beautiful Sunday parade that travels through the main square. In the afternoon, the students will participate in their First day of Christian service by spending time at a local school helping teachers in the classrooms, doing work around on the school grounds, and playing with the children. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are included.
Day 4 (Monday, May 25)
Second day of Christian service in the Sacred Valley. Students will leave the hotel by 9:00 am and arrive back at the hotel around 2:00 pm. The students will have a private tour of Ollantaytambo town in the afternoon. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are included.
Day 5 (Tuesday, May 26)
Third day of Christian service in the Sacred Valley. Students will leave the hotel by 9:00 am and arrive back at the hotel around 2:00 pm. In the evening they will experience the local culture and cuisine while having dinner at a restaurant in Ollantaytambo. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are included.
Day 6 (Wednesday, May 27)
Fourth day of Christian service in the Sacred Valley. Students will leave the hotel by 9:00 am and arrive back at the hotel around 2:00 pm. The students will take some much-needed rest before dinner. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are included.
Day 7 (Thursday, May 28)
Early morning train ride bound for Aguas Calientes and the ruins of Machu Picchu. The students will enjoy a private tour of the Machu Picchu ruins before hiking the magnificent Wayna Picchu that towers over the ancient city, giving them a bird’s eye view of the archeological site. After a short bus ride down from the ruins, the students will have a chance to explore the local markets of Aguas Calientes. Breakfast and dinner are included.
Day 8 (Friday, May 29)
Morning train back to Ollantaytambo to stop for lunch before returning to Cusco. Upon arrival in Cusco, the students will visit Coricancha, San Blas Cathedral, and the San Pedro Market. Celebration dinner in Cusco’s main square. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are included.
Day 9 (Saturday, May 30)
Private transportation to the Cusco airport where the team will board their flight bound for Lima and prepare for a late evening flight back to the States. The students will depart Lima on AA Flight 918 at 10:10 pm. Breakfast and dinner are included.
Day 10 (Sunday, May 31)
Arrive in Phoenix on AA Flight 1983 at 9:06 am.
$4,350 per person (double occupancy).
A non-refundable deposit of $1,000 per person is required at time of sign up. Full payment is required 75 days prior to departure date.
