Trip Details

The colossal Himalayan mountain range in Asia is home to some of the world’s highest peaks, including the highest, Mt. Everest at 29,029 feet. Himalaya means “home of snow” because the tallest peaks are always capped with snow. Wildlife is diverse here, ranging from tigers, leopards and the one-horned rhinoceros found in the lower ranges, to the snow leopard and red panda at higher altitudes.

Your K2 Adventure Travel journey begins in the colorful city of Kathmandu, the historical and cultural heart of Nepal, with its wonderful mix of Hinduism, Tibetan Buddhism and Western influences. From here, you fly to Lukla and trek to through the Khumbu Valley staying at tea houses along the way and experiencing unique mountain scenery, forests, glaciers, monasteries—even a few suspension bridges. You finally arrive in the historic Mt. Everest base camp at the foot of the highest peak in the world.
